This year’s commencement exercises showcased extraordinary academic accomplishments, with one Summa Cum Laude and 19 Magna Cum Laude graduates leading the pack. At the forefront was Arif T. Kurangking, the class valedictorian, who graduated Summa Cum Laude with an impressive cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 1.190. A proud alumnus of the AB Islamic Studies program under the King Faisal Center for Islamic, Arabic, and Asian Studies, Kurangking exemplified dedication and scholarly rigor throughout his journey at MSU being a student artist.

Following closely behind was Gilbert C. Baradillo, the class salutatorian, who earned the distinction of graduating Magna Cum Laude with a CGPA of 1.229. A graduate of the BTLED Home Economics program from the College of Education, Baradillo’s achievement highlighted the importance of technical education in fostering skilled professionals ready to contribute to society.

Adding depth and inspiration to the occasion were two remarkable guest speakers whose presence underscored the significance of leadership, innovation, and public service.
