Envisions in producing competent graduates that can contribute the best and possible solution to achieve food security.

Mission:

The Plant Science Department attempts to:

1. Develop Students into morally responsible, competent, mentors;
2. Impart knowledge on advances in agricultural development;
3. Guide in addressing agricultural practices that is environmentally sound practices, economically viable, socially just and technically feasible for sustainable food production.

Goals:

1. To provide better learning on advances in agricultural production;
2. To enhance student’s capability, potential making them more competent one;
3. To demonstrate the ethics and principles in food production.

Objectives:

1. Delivery of informative environmentally sound agricultural practices would be translated into action;
2. Provide insight that good agricultural practices in the key to food sustainability;
3. Mind setting through participatory activities that is learning by doing.

The BSA (Agronomy, Horticulture, Farming System, Soil Science) programs helps students understand modern farming by teaching them the process and techniques in identifying, diagnosing, and analyzing problems and in designing, packaging, and applying technologies needed in the development and conservation of agriculture and food system resources.
