The MSU-Center for Women Studies is part of the national effort of the government in promoting the development and contribution of women in nation building specifically in the MINSUPALA. It has been created through BOR Resolution No. 12, S. 1993 passed by the MSU Board of Regents during 149th meeting held in Jade Vine Executive Inn, Manila on March 12, 1996. The said unit is mandated to institutionalize and coordinate the various programs designed to strengthen and revitalize the contribution of women to the attainment of the goals of University. It is a research an extension unit of the university committed in harnessing the talents and skills of women sector.
Vision
It aspires to become the model Center for Women Studies in the region that is committed in harnessing the skills and talents of the women sector to assist the University in accomplishing its mandated task of developing the cultural, social, and economic well-being of the MINSUPALA region.

Center for Women Studies is the right office/unit for women`s empowerment advocate. It offers different trainings and seminars for the development of women sector.
The Center for Women Studies offers various Programs and Services that harnessed the talents and skills of women. In addition, these unit also engages in women and gender advocacies.
