The awarding ceremony for the annual Cleanliness, Beautification and Landscaping Contest in MSU-Main Campus was held today, September 30, 2024, after the Flag Raising Ceremony. The contest was divided into three categories: Administrative Units, Semi-academic Units, Botanical Gardens and Student Organizations’ Parks. The Cleanliness, Beautification and Landscaping Committee rigidly evaluated the offices based on cleanliness, application of 5S principles, foundation day awareness through props or decoration, employee participation, and overall presentation including creativity and originality, through ocular inspection.

The winners in every category are the following:

  1. Administrative Units
  • Champion           : Records Management Office (RMO)
  • 1st Runner-up    : Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance (OVPAF)
  • 2nd Runner-up   : University Business Office (UBO)
  • 3rd Runner-up    : Office of the Vice President for Planning and Development (OVPPD)
  • 4th Runner-up    : Auxiliary Services Division (ASD)
  • 5th Runner-up    : Budget Office (BO)
  • Semi-academic Units

Category A (Separate Building with Landscaping)

  • Champion           : University Library (Grand Slam)
  • 1st Runner-up    : Agakhan Museum and Natural Sciences Museum
  • 2nd Runner-up   : Cultural Affairs Office (CAO)
  • 3rd Runner-up    : Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM)
  • 4th Runner-up    : University Medical Services and Hospital / University Infirmary
  • 5th Runner-up    : Panginam Healing and Wellness Center (PHWC)

  • Champion           : Division of Student Affairs (DSA)
  • 1st Runner-up    : Scholarship Center (SC)
  • 2nd Runner-up   : Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, Extension and Development (OVCRED)

The competition is also part of the University’s 63rd Founding Anniversary. MSU values the importance of a clean and organized workplace in fostering a positive and productive atmosphere and in delivering quality services to its clients.  It continues to strive for excellence in all aspects of its operations, including environmental sustainability and campus beautification.
