Today, October 7, 2024, Panginam Healing and Wellness Center (PHWC) officially opened the 2024 National Mental Health Week celebration at Antonio Isidro Hall. The event began with the flag ceremony led by the MSU Administration, marking the start of a week-long focus on mental health in the workplace, aligned with the theme: “It is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace.”
Prof. Aminoding B. Limpao, Ph.D. Psy, Lead of the Center of the Panginam Healing and Wellness Center (PHWC), delivered the opening remarks, setting the tone for the celebration. His speech emphasized the importance of mental health and well-being for employees, fostering a supportive environment where growth and mental well-being go hand in hand.
Following his remarks, Dir. Sandrah Arnica M. Usman delivered a heartfelt message to MSU employees, highlighting the university’s commitment to supporting employee well-being.
A significant part of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with 7 barangays, namely: Brgy. Lomidong, Brgy. Cabingan, Brgy. Banga, Brgy. Dimalna, Brgy. Rapasun, Brgy. Biaba-Damag, and Brgy. Cadayonan II, highlighting MSU’s collaborative efforts with local communities to extend mental health support beyond the campus.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Ibrahim Mangondato, Program Dev’T Officer III of the Community Relations Office, who stressed the importance of continuing mental health initiatives in the MSU community. The program was facilitated by Raijana T. Esmail, keeping the flow of the event smooth and engaging.
This event marks the beginning of a week dedicated to raising awareness and promoting mental health support, encouraging everyone to prioritize mental well-being in their professional and personal lives.
