Biography

Kristine is a licensed chemical engineer, a patent agent, and currently an Assistant Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department of Mindanao State University – Marawi. Before joining MSU – Marawi, she was previously based in Manila as a Patent Examiner of then-Medical Science and Biotechnology Examining Division (MSBED), now Medical Science and Biopharmaceutical Examining Division, of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines – Bureau of Patents (IPOPHL-BOP). Her other work experiences include environmental scientist in an engineering firm in Ortigas and patent specialist in Makati. She earned her undergraduate degree from Mindanao State University – Marawi (2010) and her Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from University of the Philippines – Diliman (2012). She was also a foreign student researcher in Chia Nan University of Pharmacy and Science in Taiwan where she conducted her graduate research in the field of photocatalysis.
