Vision

The Department of Agricultural Education and Extension envisions to produce graduates who will undertake researches and extension activities in support to instruction.

Mission

The mission of the department is to prepare agricultural educator and extension professionals to teach, lead and serve. The department shall develop a strong technology program to fill-in gap between researches and farmers.

Goals

The department shall produce graduates who can contribute to agricultural development in the service areas. It shall develop students’ critical thinking in solving problems related to agriculture by infusing social and cultural values of the area. It shall also build and establish facilities needed in the demonstration and pilot projects.

Objectives

The program is offered with the following objectives:

1. To provide quality instruction through appropriate general, professional education and technical agriculture courses necessary for students preparation in the profession;
2. To train prospective agriculture teachers in the different levels of the educational system and change agent in the government and non-government agencies in agriculture sector;
3. To undertake researches that can qualify as a solution to the immediate and long term problems; and
4. To disseminate research results and technology for adoption by the farmers.

The Academic offers include 14 majors, 15 minors, and more than 100 in major specializations so your degree will surely reflect your interests and strengths.
