College of Enigneering

Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department

MSU Main Campus - Marawi City > College of Engineering > Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department

About The Department

The Department started as a part of the College of Agriculture since 1963 as its first dean, Prof. Zacarias Valdez, being a member of the Department. However, the Department was transferred from the College of Agriculture to the College of Engineering last 2020 due to the need by the Department to align with CHED guidelines as well as to follow other state universities and colleges where their BSABE programs are under the jurisdiction of their respective College of Engineering.

The ABE Department is the newest department in the College of Engineering. As a member of the College, the Department aims to be the leading BSABE program provider in the BARMM region and hopes to produce more exceptional ABEs or in ABE lingo “bayaws” for a more sustainable Mindanao and the Philippines.
