About The Department

Accounting as a course started as a mere major in Bachelor’s degree for Commerce or Business Administration. DECS order No.5 was issued in early 1990 elevating Accounting from a mere major to a distinct course- Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.

The College had first implemented its BS Accountancy program during the school year 1993-1994 and had undergone revisions during the years 1999 and 2007. Lately, revisions were made pursuant to CMO No. 27, Series of 2017.

Objectives
  1. To produce accountant who are highly ethical, socially responsible and able to meet the global demands and challenges in the field of commerce and industry, public practice, government and education;
  2. To produce students actively involved in research and community activities that require applying knowledge in accounting; and
  3. To prepare students for the Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants.
