About The Department

VISION

The Animal Science Department envisions discovering, sharing, and applying scientific knowledge concerning the responsible use of animals and in the production of quality meat, milk, eggs, and animal by-products through high standards of instruction, research, development, and extension towards a progressive and globally competitive animal industry. 

MISSION

The Animal Science Department shall consistently produce competent graduates, develop appropriate technologies and advocate policies that will promote animal food security and safety as well as market competitiveness of animal products based on sound social and ecological principles. 

GOALS

  1. To offer quality to tertiary and graduate students and understand and utilize the economically domesticated animals in pursuit of increased productivity.
  2. To undertake relevant research and extension programs for the argumentation of poultry and livestock production for global competitiveness.
