The Office of the Dean at the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management is responsible for the college-based supervision and management of not only its two academic departments, the Hospitality Management Department and Tourism Management Department, but as well as the in the operations of other services it offers such as the MSU Pavilion, TESDA office, college unit library, and other operational procedures and processes within the college.
The BS Hospitality Management program of the CHTM has recently undergone COPC evaluation, along with other programs offered within the MSU Main Campus, that was conducted by the MBHTE earlier this month of March 2023. The Technical Working Group (TWG) committee of the college have done their best, and they are now crossing their fingers for a favorable result of the evaluation, as they hope for a continuing progress for the college, and the university in whole.
The Tourism Industry and the Hospitality Industry are two separate yet interconnected and interdependent trend-based industries, which is why some professionals in the field consider them as one large industry — the Tourism and Hospitality Industry or the Travel Industry.
