Empowering Lanao del Sur’s MSMEs, Mainstreaming the National Competition Policy

Mindanao State University successfully conducted a Local Orientation on the Philippine Competition Act (PCA) and National Competition Policy (NCP) on December 17, 2024, at the CHTM Pavilion. Key university officials attended the event, including Vice Chancellor Dr. Fema Abamo, who delivered a welcome message.

The PCA and the NCP promote fair competitive markets in the Philippines. The PCA is the primary law that prohibits anti-competitive practices. while the NCP guides government interventions to support competition. Initiating the event, MSU and its partners hope to highlight the importance of fostering fair and competitive markets in the grassroots and in the Philippines as a whole.
