VISION: “A competitive academic unit of higher learning known for its excellent graduate programs in Public Administration, Community Development, and Social Work, and for its dedication to the continuing development of man, institutions, communities, and government”.

MISSION: “To produce highly capable, pro-people, and innovative graduates to efficiently and effectively man public entities and non-government organizations as vehicles for the sustainable socio-economic development of Mindanao through the offering of relevant programs in graduate level instruction, research, and extension that are responsive to prevailing societal demands”.

GOALS:

1. To offer graduate curricular programs in Public Administration, Community Development, and Social Work that produce administrators who are competent, public service-oriented innovative, and imbued with high ethical standards;
2. To offer short-term courses including trainings to practitioners in current concerns, methods and approaches in local governance;
3. To conduct research activities on local and national governmental management priorities such as public service delivery, policy analysis and others; and
4. To establish linkages with the government particularly local government units (LGUs), the voluntary sectors, and other institutions for mental assistance and cooperation toward the advancement of discipline and its practice.

The Graduate Studies Department of the College of Public Affairs, Mindanao State University Marawi, is a premier and leading academic institution in the Bangsamoro and Minsupala regions, known for its excellent graduate programs and for producing successful graduates.
