VISION
In line with the vision of the University, the MSU-ILS as a service unit and/or Laboratory School of the College of Education and other colleges of the MSU-Main Campus envisions to install a culture of academic excellence among our school children and to produce a well-rounded personality basic education graduate, globally competitive imbued with patriotism.
MISSION
In pursuit of its vision and in consonance with the K to 12 curriculum, MSU-ILS aspires to:
- pursue relevant, responsive, and quality basic education;
- provide a child-friendly, gender- sensitive, culture-based, and learning-conducive environment;
- provide various educational and meaningful learning opportunities;
- strengthen the learning competencies of learners in various subject areas;
- prepare the learners (physically, academically, mentally, socially, emotionally, economically, morally and above all spiritually) for their future field of specialization;
- develop in the learners the value of appreciation and preservation of one’s culture, beliefs and traditions;
- inculcate in the learners the virtue of honesty, loyalty, resiliency, punctuality, obedience, self-reliance, commitment and dedication, respect, politeness, love of country and above all love of God;
- develop/strengthen the cultural awareness, excellence, peace and unity.
GOAL
To provide and equip the learners with adequate basic knowledge, skills and values needed to develop their personality (physically, academically, mentally, socially, emotionally, economically, morally, and spiritually) and to enhance their functional literacy for their holistic development.
