MSU, Marawi City, – Following its successful opening, the Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM)’s PMWC (Philippine Women Council, Inc) Women’s Eco Bazaar will continue to welcome visitors and support women entrepreneurs until April 14, 2025. The vibrant event is being held at the IPDM Convergence Hall, Mindanao State University (MSU) in Marawi City.
The bazaar, which was inaugurated by ED Acram Latiph of IPDM, aims to highlight the crucial role of women in economic development, drawing inspiration from historical figures like the Prophet Muhammad SAW’s wife, Khadijah, a renowned businesswoman.
President Bai Norhata Alonto of PMWC emphasized the rationale behind the initiative, stating its intention to echo the significance of entrepreneurship and with future bazaars planned for Manila.
AO Esmail Kapampangan, representing the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE)-TESDA Director Asnawi Bato, also highlighted the skills training and development opportunities available through TESDA to further empower women in their entrepreneurial journeys.
The PMWC Women’s Eco Bazaar at the IPDM Convergence Hall in MSU Marawi City provides a valuable platform for women entrepreneurs to showcase their diverse products and skills. It serves as a hub for economic activity and underscores the commitment to fostering women’s economic independence within the region.
MSU Constituents are encouraged to visit the bazaar before its conclusion on April 14, 2025, to support these budding businesses and witness the entrepreneurial spirit of women in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
