This specialization focuses on the principles and practices of banking and finance in accordance with Islamic law (Sharia). Students will gain an understanding of the unique financial instruments and transactions permitted under Islamic principles, such as profit-sharing agreements (Mudarabah) and asset-backed financing (Murabahah). They will also explore the ethical and moral considerations inherent in Islamic finance, as well as its role in promoting financial inclusion and social equity within Muslim communities and beyond.
