On September 25, 2024, the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) held an online essay writing contest, the KaPEACEtahan sa Paaralan sa BARMM Essay Writing Contest, in celebration for the 20th Peace Month with the theme, โ€œBagong Pilipinas, Bagong Bangsamoro: Youth as Catalyst of Transformation towards Enduring Peace.โ€

On October 15, 2024, the talented winners were announced, and among them was ๐‡๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐š๐ง ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐Œ. ๐‡๐š๐๐ฃ๐ข ๐‡๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐š๐ง, a Grade 11 ABM student, who emerged as the ๐œ๐ก๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ข๐จ๐ง in the English category. His compelling essay entitled โ€œAs My Words Resonate Peace, I Create a Shockwave of Transformation,โ€ showcased not only his writing skills but also his deep commitment to fostering peace.

This initiative enabled youth engagement and participation in shaping a peaceful and prosperous future for the Bangsamoro region and the Philippines. By highlighting the role of youth as catalysts for transformation, the contest sought to empower the younger generation to take an active role in peacebuilding and establishing a pluralistic society.

Hassan Nor shares he joined the competition to the Director Prof. Junaina M. Dimalna and the Suwara Publication Adviser, Ms. Haniah Krys Ilupa. Hassan Nor is also a writer for the MSHS school publication, the Suwara.
