Prof. Juliet T. Mendoza, former Presidential Assistant for International Linkages and former Faculty of the Department of International Relations, provided a comprehensive overview of ASEAN, delving into its objectives, charter, pillars, key initiatives, and achievements. Her insightful presentation served as a foundation for understanding the organization’s role in attaining sustainable regional development.

Emphasizing the Philippines’ status as one of the founding members, he encouraged everyone to actively participate in the university’s ASEAN initiatives. He also expressed the university’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the regional bloc.
A symbolic ASEAN handshake, performed by the present university officials, faculty, staff, and students, visually underscored the spirit of unity and collaboration. The event was further enriched by a performance of the Song of Unity with ASEAN, presented by some students from the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) and the King Faisal Center for Islamic, Arabic and Asian Studies (KFCIAAS).
