The MSU-Main Campus received a much-needed boost to its healthcare services today with the donation of a new ambulance from the Office of Member of Parliament (MP) Marjanie.
A turnover ceremony was held this morning, July 26, at the front of Antonio Isidro Hall, attended by MSU officials, university staff, and representatives from MP Marjanie’s office. MSU Officer-in-Charge and Executive Vice President, Dr. Rasid M. Paca, expressed profound gratitude to MP Marjanie for this generous contribution, emphasizing its immense value to the university community and the seven surrounding barangays.
Atty. Shidik T. Abantas, University and BOR Secretary, noted that investment in healthcare is equally crucial as education. He expressed appreciation for the donation, which will greatly benefit the health services provided to MSU constituents.
Dr. Marjanie S. Mimbantas Macasalong, a BTA Member of Parliament and Chairperson of the Bangsamoro Youth Commission, reiterated his strong ties to the academe and reaffirmed his commitment to the MSU System. He outlined plans for future collaborations, including the establishment of a Halal Learning Hub and the construction of dormitory buildings. He also extended his full support to the university and its initiatives.
Dr. Ramli V. Usman, Director of the University Medical Services and Hospital, formally accepted the ambulance on behalf of MSU, marking a significant milestone in the university’s healthcare services.
The newly acquired ambulance is a fully equipped vehicle capable of handling a wide range of medical emergencies. This vital addition to the MSU campus will undoubtedly save lives and strengthen the university’s capacity to provide comprehensive healthcare services to its community.
