Mindanao State University (MSU) took a significant stride in its commitment to sustainable development through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed today, August 16, 2024, with SusTek Pte. Ltd. at the OP Conference Room. The partnership, focused on educational and research initiatives, aims to harness the power of sustainable technology for the betterment of the community and the environment.
The MOU was formalized by Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Amerkhan G. Cabaro representing MSU and Chief Executive Officer/Co-founder Danny O. Condecido of SusTek Pte. Ltd. This collaboration marks a new chapter in both institutions’ dedication to fostering innovation and addressing pressing environmental, social, and governmental challenges.
Present at the event were MSU officials including University and BOR Secretary Atty. Shidik T. Abantas, Vice President for Research and Extension Dr. Glen A. Lorenzo, International Affairs and Linkages Office Director Prof. Melba M. Angni, University Extension and Service Center Director Prof. Melencio C. Jalova Jr., University Legal Counsel Office Director Atty. Maisah M. Mandangan, Mathematics Department Chairperson Dr. Salma L. Naga-Marohombsar, and College of Information and Computing Science Dean Prof. Mudzna M. Asakil. Among the SusTek Pte. Ltd. Team were Chief Operations Officer and Co-founder Paulo Flores and Consultant Tet Aguila.
Through this partnership, MSU and SusTek Pte. Ltd. will collaborate on a diverse range of projects, including joint research initiatives, curriculum development, internship programs, and capacity building activities.
