Biography

Amierson C. Tilendo, a licensed chemical engineer, is a passionate educator and researcher who has dedicated his career to advancing the field of chemical engineering.His early years as a research assistant, specializing in polyurethane foam, coatings, and material characterization, shaped his dedication to scientific discovery and innovation.

Driven by a passion for teaching, he transitioned into academia and is now a proud faculty member of the Chemical Engineering Department at Mindanao State University – Main Campus. His commitment to fostering the next generation of engineers has led him to take on leadership roles, including College Research Coordinator and Chair of the College Research Ethics Committee.

Beyond the classroom, he is a dynamic researcher, leading projects like the DOST-NRCP-funded study on developing sustainable products from local biomass resources. He has published in SCOPUS-indexed journals, developed utility models, and collaborated with prestigious institutions like the Center for Sustainable Polymers at MSU-IIT.

Amierson’s journey is defined by an unwavering passion for research and a deep sense of purpose in empowering students and advancing knowledge. He believes that through research and education, we can create sustainable solutions for a better future.
