Dr. Umpa holds the position of Assistant Professor IV. He previously served as a professorial lecturer in the Graduate Studies Department of MSU Marawi-College of Business Administration and Accountancy. He has demonstrated a profound commitment to education and organizational development in his 12 years of teaching and administrative experience at RC-Al Khwarizmi International College Foundation Incorporated (RC-AKICFI), where he has held various administrative positions, such as OIC President, School Director, Consultant to the President, a member of the Board of Trustees, and an Associate Professor. Additionally, he owned the Resto Site Bistro, reflecting his entrepreneurial spirit.
Dr. Umpa’s educational background is both impressive and diverse. He holds a Doctorate in Business Management and a Master’s in Business Administration from Ateneo de Cagayan – Xavier University. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Adventist Medical Center College, where he was honored with the Department Leadership Award, and currently Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) major in Marketing Management at CAP College Foundation, Inc. Furthermore, he has obtained a Certificate in the Professional Education Course at RC-AKICFI and is recognized as a Certified Marketing Management Specialist (CMMS) by the Center of Professional Advancement and Continuing Education (CPACE).
An active member of several professional organizations, including the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA), Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE) and the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC). Dr. Umpa exemplifies his dedication to education and community service. He is committed to lifelong learning, having participated in numerous seminars and training sessions that cover essential topics such as entrepreneurship, marketing management, conflict resolution in the workplace, and human resources management.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Umpa has a passion for international travel, having explored various countries across Southeast Asia and the Middle East, including South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates. This global perspective not only enriches his personal experiences but also enhances his teaching and professional contributions. Dr. Umpa continues to inspire future generations of students and leaders through his significant contributions to the fields of education and business management, making him a well-rounded and impactful figure in his areas of expertise.
