Fernando R. Sequete Jr. is the department chairperson of the Department of Secondary Teaching of CED, MSU-Marawi Campus. A highly curious & motivated College Instructor who teaches Science Education and Professional Education courses and has a strong passion for science and is actively involved in the department’s & college’s various extension programs.
Mr. Sequete has a Bachelor of Secondary Education in Biology from Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology. He completed his academic requirements for a Master of Science Education major in Biology at the same university. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science Education with a major in General Science from MSU-Naawan and is expected to complete the program next year. After completing his master’s degree, he plans to apply for a scholarship program at DOST to pursue his Ph.D.
Mr. Sequete’s teaching experience includes working as a Special Science Teacher 1 at the Philippine Science High School-Zamboanga Peninsula Region Campus for one (1) year, as well as a Teacher 1 at Sulangon National High School in Dapitan City for four (4) months. Also, he served as a member of the teaching staff and the Laboratory Technician at the College of Education of MSU-IIT for almost seven (7) years.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Sequete is an active participant in workshops, conferences, and youth groups. He currently holds the position of Regional Director of Youth Advocates for Region X in the Philippines.
