Mohklisa Tocalo Muripaga, is a science teacher at MSU-Siawadato Community High School. She has been teaching at the said institution for 4 years. She devotes most of her time in teaching & inspiring the youth specially the less privileged to do well on their studies to uplift their lives from poverty. She always instills in the minds of her students the idea that “knowledge is like a key that will help you to open many doors of opportunity and that knowledge is the only thing that will never be stolen from an individual who possesses it”.
Muripaga finished her Bachelor’s degree Major in Biology at Mindanao State University-Main Campus Marawi with flying colors. She graduated as Cum Laude way back 2016. In fact, she has always been on top of her class as she graduated as Class Valedictorian both in her Elementary & Secondary School. After graduating in college, she worked briefly as a call center representative in Baguio City. While working, she also earned educational units and successfully passed & aced the Licensure Examination for Teachers in September 2018. She was a Regional Topnotcher in Cordillera Administrative Region when she took the LET garnering an average of 89.60%. After passing the LET, she pursued her teaching profession.
Currently, Muripaga is pursuing her master’s degree in Secondary Teaching major in General Science at MSU-ISED, Marawi City. She firmly believes in the idea of “life-long learning”, that’s why she keeps on developing herself professionally.
Muripaga has also innate interest for public speaking and radio broadcasting. She has been invited multiple times as a speaker at the MSU-Radio & Telecommunication Office (UFM 94.1). Aside from public speaking, she is mentoring couple of young students from the school where is working with. Muripaga and her colleagues even built a Quizzer’s club at MSU-Siawadato CHS named “Ravenclaw” which aims to enrich students’ knowledge in the fields of Science, Mathematics & English.
