Prof. Alibasher N. Usman is a Native of Ganassi, and Tugaya, Lanao del Sur. He is a member of the International Da’wah Tabligh Movement (World Islamic Preacher). Member Philippine National Consultative Assembly. He is a faculty member of the Mindanao State University under the College of King Faisal Center for Islamic, Arabic and Asian Studies with the Academic Rank of Assistant Professor 4.
Currently taking his Doctor of Philosophy in Philippine Studies major in Mindanao Culture and Society (Residency), Master of Arts in Islamic Studies, KFCIAAS, Mindanao State University, Diploma in Islamic Studies Major in Muslim Law, Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies all in the same university, obtained his two years study in Islamic Studies Shari’a Major in Shari’a Al Ain, University, United Arab Emirates in 1993.
Holder of Career Service Eligibilities such as (1.) Career Service Professional, (2.) Career Service Sub-Professional, and (3.) Civil Service Commission (CSC) Resolution No. 93-666 with the rank of 1st. and 2nd Degree Level.
He has authored of the following articles such as (1.) The Significance of the Six Qualities of Da’wah and Tabligh: Its Virtues and Approach, (published), (2.) Shari’ah Bar Reviewer on Islamic Law and Jurisprudence (published), (3.) Selection from the Tradition: In Collaboration of Islamic Tales and Anecdotes (published), (4) The Importance of Masjid: Its Roles and Functions in the Muslim Communities (unpublished), (5) A Collection from the Golden Words of the Prophet: In Relation to the Five Pillars of Islam (on-going editing).
He has attended a lot of International and National Islamic Assembly, Symposiums, seminar workshops, trainings and conferences, in line with program of the government and the policy of the University to provide opportunities to improve, develop and enhance faculty members.
He has visited many countries of the world for the purposes of Strengthening Faith in Allah thru Islamic Preaching Da’wah and Tabligh like Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Mozambique, Kenya, Taiwan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Japan and etc.
