Sean Wilfred Cayunda is the youngest son among the four children of Mr. Wilfredo Cortez Cayunda (deceased) and Mrs. Welly Baluarte Melgar. He is a faculty member of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management where he served for 12 fruitful years and still counting.
His unswerving dedication and passion in his service to the University has opened opportunities to be exposed in the different works of a faculty member. He served as Department Chairperson, Research and Extension Coordinator and Practicum and Work Experience Coordinator. In 2014, he was sent to AnCasa Hotel and Spa Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for Industrial training as a Front Office Associate.
He is a grantee of the Sustainable and Innovative Knowledge Application for Tourism (SIKAT) training – a project of LPU-Batangas in collaboration with the Commission on Higher Education and the University of Alicante, Spain. In addition, a grantee of the Department of Tourism (DOT) Tourism Research Grant 2018.
He is also a research enthusiast who has presented papers in International and National research conferences. His research interests are Cultural (Gastronomy) Tourism, Tourism Service Quality Assessment and Tourism Destination Development and Management.
