Zaalica B. Edres, RL, MLS

Director Zaalica B. Edres is the Acting Director of the University Library, with 38 years of service at the university. In December 2022, she assumed the role of American Corner Marawi Director concurrently. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce at Jamiatul Philippine Al-Islamia in 1983 and earned 18 units in Bachelor of Science in Library Science at this university in 1991. She obtained her Master’s degree in Library Science at MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology in 2002 and got her license as a registered librarian the same year. Director Edres was nominated for the Best Librarian award at the University Library in 2018. She is currently the President of the Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. – BARMM Librarians Council and an active member of Lanao Library and Information Workers Association, Inc.
