The University Book Center was created on June 22, 1990 (BOR Resolution No. 21, series 1992.) in the Mindanao State University Marawi City Campus to deliver and provide services to the students, faculty and staff and other constituents by selling books ranging from different genre such as law books, tertiary and intermediate books, materials and other supplies. It also offers rental books for minimal fee and rental charge for students who can’t afford to buy the books needed for their studies. Likewise, it also operates as a reproduction services center in the form photocopying and binding materials.

The University Book Center will consistently deliver services as promised and exceed expectations to earn the students, faculty, and staff, and other constituents’ respect and trust.

The Mindanao State University shall, in the pursuit of its mission , be committed to the total development of man and to search for truth, virtue, and academics excellence.
Objectives
- To sell textbook and other materials to students and other constituents of the university;
- To set as a jobber for the university in acquisition of reference books, journals, magazines, and other relevant library materials;
- To serve as s rental outlet for best sellers by organizing a rental division where members pay a minimal fee and rental charge for copies loaned out by members;
- To publish , print, and sell textbooks written by authors within or outside the university;
- To negotiate for the reprinting of usable international publications under the reprinting decree;
- To function as a trade-in center where the students can resell their used textbooks or trade them in for new titles;
- To operate a reproduction services center that may offer photocopying , binding services, and other similar commercially viable services.
